SHF collaborates with other experts, including nationally recognized farriers, young horse trainers and other sports and reproductive specialists to ensure that SHF horses receive the best opportunities to achieve their maximum potential .

Our goal is to be synonymous with young jumpers and to develop horses that enable achievement of the most ambitious goals. We have a series of program and farm specific protocols and practices that allow us to work to eliminate or minimize the factors that keep us out of the show ring and that enable us to maintain our facility to the highest standards. Safety of the horse, rider and handler are paramount. Farm specific safety rules are also in place and must be adhered to. Managing details is key to our success. Applying consistent methods ensures a uniform standard of care and provides a baseline from which we can collaboratively improve. We are looking to manage and develop our horses using today’s best practices mixed with innovative thought to lead us tomorrow. We aspire for all SHF team members and horses to be in a better position after they have worked with us than before.

Holstein breeders maintain that the Stamm (or mother line) of a horse is the most reliable predictor of an offspring's success. Holstein horses are bred with one purpose: show jumping. SHF acquires, pairs, produces, competes and markets Holsteiner horses stemming from the most influential stem lines for international success. in addition to Holsteiner horses, SHF employs a select number of other German and Dutch bloodlines, including Oldenburg, Hanoverian and KWPN. Over 75% of SHF foals in Europe have been graded Premium by the Holsteiner Verband (Studbook).
